This reminds me of the new suit that HIccup made in “How to Train Your Dragon 2” movie. Epic!! However it’s not really flying as much as it is gliding, no? Or am I wrong? 🙂 Cause it’s basically jumping from a plain with a parachute. Still really cool though and I would love to do that before I die. Maybe if I become rich and famous I could afford one, lol.

So since, somehow this was advertised to me… Through my personal mail (odd) I would put a little critique. When you advertise, don’t false it, by saying “Now man can fly” ( exact words) when you guys are actually gliding. Advertise making steps to flying… Would still watch it, but with more amazement, and less disappointment.

To those that have to nitpick every detail such as denouncing Redbull for saying this is flying. YES it is flying. Using the word flying does not mean powered flight only. Did you ever fly a kite? Check dictionary dot com. They are both gliding and flying.

Controlled falling helps to control the more important part …. Controlled landing much better than free falling much much better than free landing
Put rockets on that shoot you up in the air , then control fall . I.e glide down with this suit on , pretty close to controlled air navigation .

I saw the segment on “60 Minutes” of those guys in Norway that stood atop a very high mountain and did that in those suits. That takes nerves of steel to stand up there just before jumping off. I know they have the chute but still! That’d give me the heebie-jeebies !! LoL

Personally, I liked Commander Cody better. Air foiling like Rocky the Flying Squirrel is gliding, not flying. It’s just another suicidal gimmick for the foolish at heart. I hope THEY enjoy it? I see some trolls who aren’t 1/100th as brave as these flyers, trying to say these guys aren’t flying. According to wikipedia dictionary, flying and gliding are in the same category. We don’t refer to the flying squirrel, from which this idea came, as a gliding squirrel. Being a critic is a million times safer than mouthing off like a troll.
