They’re a business, why not promote the latest camera? These are videos shot by other people which were probably recorded prior to the hero 4 release. The quality is so similar anyway that there won’t be much difference

What’s the trapeze for?
we use it for rope swings off of the balloon, generally have a fishing line and reel to bring it back but if that breaks (and the line generally will after 2-4 jumps) then it just hangs there until landing. but it is by far one of the most awesome things ive ever done
+HCG Kyle No, look again from the beginning there is a long cable, dangling with a handle/seat looking thing on the end. Its probably a guide rope/ tether for landing and taking off.
Its the ledge you stand on so you can begin the jump. You’re not able to just vault over the wall and begin your dive.

Why is it that they pull their chute so far up?
+Kevin Roh Thats exactly why. You need anywhere from 500-1000 feet just for your chute to fully open. After that you need altitude to fix any issues that may come up or if you have a malfunction to the extent that you need to cut away and deploy your reserve you need time for that as well. Even once you have a fully functional canopy over your head you need altitude to get into your landing pattern and land where you are supposed to.
Just in case the chute doesn’t deploy correctly (my guess) and hoping it’ll correct itself before you go splat. Also maybe you have a backup chute?

He isn’t, really. There’s no point having a reserve if you’re too low to use it, so you need to open high enough that in the event of a malfunction you can cutaway and pull the reserve with some nice altitude to spare.

It actually wasn’t filmed 100% on the hero3+ since the secondary camera on his torso was a hero3. You could tell by the casing. Unless the hero3+ was in the hero3 case. Lol just saying.

+Kevin Andrews not to mention the fact that you aren’t even allowed to jump by yourself or with a wingsuit without many jumps under your belt. It costs thousands of dollars just to be able to do this.

I had no clue that you wear the altimeter on your chest when you jump wingsuits. I suppose I haven’t watched too many skydive wingsuit jumps, just BASE, where the ground (or the looks of it) are your altimeter… Ballsy either way.
