When you hear Dubai you are usually expecting grand things. You’ve got it right!!

The world’s longest urban zipline is set in Dubai Marina, the XLine is also one of the steepest and fastest, measuring one kilometre, with an incline of 16° and travelling at an average of 80 kilometres per hour.

XDubai, is the adventure travel company that created the ride, that will give daredevils the chance to fly between skyscrapers in Dubai. XDubai has taken ziplining to the extreme, according to its creators, it is also one of the steepest and fastest, measuring 1 kilometre, with an incline of 16° and travelling at an average of 80 kilometres per hour.

Building on the earlier archetype, The XLine follows in the footsteps of the original which launched in late 2015 at The Dubai Mall over the iconic Dubai Fountain. The new XLine literally goes the distance, doubling in length and offering daring duos the ability to experience it together – swiftly yet safely – through two concurrently running ziplines.

XLine lets brave riders soar as fast as 50 mph for 3,280 feet about 560 feet in the air in Dubai’s marina district, according to the Associated Press. Also new is the superman style harness, which allows zipliners to channel their inner superhero with an electrifying flight-like experience as they zip from one of the Amwaj towers in JBR, 170 metres in the air, weaving through skyscrapers and across water, down to the terrace of Dubai Marina Mall, landing in close proximity to amazed bystanders.

Based upon the success of the original XLine, the new version will also be open to both visitors and residents* of Dubai for a limited time with public bookings open now. All those experiencing the XLine will be able to share the experience to the world through a helmet mounted Go-Pro with photos and video delivered via email following the experience.

There are two concurrently running ziplines, which means you can share the experience with a friend or loved one. You’ll also get to relive the action thanks to Go-Pros mounted on your helmet, with every participant receiving a customised video and photographs.
