good video, and conclusion that I also can relate to.
But beside the raw speed and agility, speedflying has IMO not that much more to offer than paragliding.
Soaring at small height, and acrobatics allow to have some serious fun with the “big” wings too.
Really great stuff! I have done some paragliding stuff on the ground learning to control the wing. This really makes me want to get in the air and try it out! Great video!
Dude. Sweet video. All of it. Very well made. Oh, and the content ain’t too bad either…but I’ll stick to FPV for now. I am VERY prone to injury. I know my limits. Keep at it dude. Love the new direction
Just for the record, most of us that learned or are learning paragliding did so by being around teachers or mentors with thousands of flights under their wing. If you have no experience with mountain stuff, wind stuff or flight stuff, you probably ought not to try self-teaching. And even then, it might still be a better idea to spend your money on classes than on equipment. Everything is possible, but be warned…
I have been a subscriber of yours for a while now, and I have to say this is your best video ever!!!! I have been flying r/c my whole life, and I also got into paragliding because of my love of flight. I had to give it up 9 years ago to focus on my family. My son is now 22, and wants to fly as well. Your video has really got me wanting to fly again. I live in Houston, and flew powered paragliders with TX wingnuts. I am moving sometime next year, and hope to locate my self by mountainous terrain so I don’t have the restrictions of the 90lb motor on my back! Thanks again for this great video man!
In my honest opinion you should go back to an EN-A certified wing and MASTER the basics first!
Learn the flight behavior with a docile wing then you can apply it on your tonic miniwing.
Some situations can get quite overwhelming on this wing for a beginner.
I see how ambitious you are about flying and how you talk about safety BUT you are not ready for an EN-C rated miniwing(which is far from docile)!!!
See, ego is the biggest problem in extremsports, some have to learn it the hard way and I hope you recognize it before that.
Other than that your video is really cool and I hope it inspires many others to experience this wonderful sensation!
Wow that’s super sketchy, I guess there aren’t very many *old* speedfliers!
Just one misjudgment and you make a big mess on the rocks!
Daniel, don’t push your luck too much, Humanity needs you.
Really well edited, interesting and fun video, Daniel! This kind of video is my favorite type of video and it really show how great you are at making videos. I want to start paragliding my self and this definitely made me want to even more.
+rctestflight
Man, from someone who broke a leg with paragliding, learn the basics of flying with instructor, not from videos on internet, get as much protection as you can, and please, DO NOT fly with short pants and sneakers. Scrapping on those hills is very dangerous and painful like hell. Not to mention anything worse that can happen.
Interesting and well made video, but what was with dive bombing those people at 6:51 and a bit later too? That looked pretty dangerous, if they weren’t in on the action then that isn’t cool at all.
Next stop freefall, a thrill a second at 200KPH, all the benefits of speed flying followed by a lazy drift down on a wing. I wonder if it is possible to pack wing like a parachute and exit an aircraft to start at altitude? Was the knee a landing event or a takeoff event?
What a such powerful video <3
Great editing!
I think a lot people will want to do paragliding speedflying after that!
But both seem dangerous though! Take care your knees :p
Have a great weekend and keep on flying!
Here’s a short and pathetic story: I’ve got an Ozone Bullet, a ITV Bip-Bip, a Cima K2, a U-Turn Blacklight, and an Apco Sierra. I live 10 miles from where much of this video was filmed. I’ve never flown any of them. The end.
Hi Daniel, just wanted to say you where a big part in why I got my p2 up hear in Canada. I’d been following your channel a while and wanted to get into paragliding for a while, as soon as your first made a video on it I was determined to finally follow my dream and get into paragliding. Now I’m just sad I can’t fly in the winter. but as far as speed flying goes I think if there’s a debate in your head on risk then speed flying just isn’t meant to happen yet. Where I’m from its seen as very reckless and many have little respect for it within the flying community. I think some very great pilots passed due to speed flying and this hit our community hard, that being said speed flying is an amazing sport on its own and many practice it here. I just feel you should never compromise to speedfly, if there’s any debate between paragliding and speed flying, well then glider every time. Hopefully Ill get to run into you one of these days, if you ever come to the Rockies, anyways have a good one
Another interesting film Daniel. I flew paragliders and paramotors 2008 to 2013 and had a 15m Little Cloud Spiruline which was a good compromise between the two disciplines. You live in a perfect place for free flight so keep it up. Most importantly stay safe and have fun. (p.s. I’d suggest speed riding if you ski).
Using good sense. Way to go. Enjoy the sport, but don`t let it kill you. I`me 69 now, and although I fly fixed wing airplanes, the joy is still there. Seems like only yesterday you and I were conversing back and forth on ways to build cheap throw away foam RC airplanes. You have come fore. Live long and prosper my friend.
This makes me want to go paragliding that much more! too bad we don’t really have more than hills here in virginia. I suppose I could do powered paramotoring.
Different wings for different things. Nice video man. Gotta love all the options out there for the kind of flying you want to do now days. Flying isn’t for everyone but you sure wish everyone could feel the euphoria it gives you.
I’d love to try paragliding but I live in Virginia in the Part ware is totally flat and I’m only 11 so I can’t exactly find one that will work Siri so yeah
The video was nicely edited but it’s hugely irresponsible to go encouraging people to get into paragliding by buying second-hand gear off eBay and teaching themselves via YouTube.
It looks like you were really lucky to walk away from those crashes that you showed, they could easily have resulted in serious spinal injuries or broken limbs.
For those of your viewers who might want to take up paragliding please seek out qualified instruction and go through the proper training. It’s too dangerous a sport not to.
Wow, bought a used wing. How did you know it was flight worthy?? What about your reserve parachute? watched some videos….really. What about weather, did they do over that with you…..very foolish….
at 2:31 you have a Linetwist in the left upper corner of the white-black-green canope… if this one would be bigger there wouldnt be “a lot of fun”. You want to fly -> then learn it and not only by “watching some youtube tutorials”!. There is so much more to learn about weather and so on!
I used to skydive up until a couple of years ago but it requires a lot of time, money and waiting for decent weather. Paragliding seems a lot more accesible and something I’d like to maybe try sometime.
I really appreciate your passion for flight, and this well made video. However, I am very concerned by your message that learning to paraglide off of youtube is a safe and reasonable thing to do. As a fellow pilot, I urge you to add some sort of disclaimer. Aviation can be made dangerous or safe, but in all it’s forms it is very unforgiving. I’m not trying to insult your intelligence or ability; nobody could self teach and know where the all gaps in their knowledge and skill are. There are no two ways about it, skill and knowledge gaps get pilots killed. I don’t want to be melodramatic, but it took a lot of early pilots dying to teach us how to fly properly. Now that we know better, it’s pointless to add to that number.
You mentioned risk management in the video, which I think is excellent. It’s possibly the most important job of every pilot to consider this thoroughly. One of the best ways to mitigate risk is through proper training. Think of it like any other piece of safety equipment. Not cheap, but definitely worth the investment.
Keep flying, keep up that passion, but please, be safe.
Great video, with some awesome visuals & great flying. Very nice indeed. Just one thing – there is an implication of self teaching. Maybe i’m wrong & its just how i saw it. In sports like this (both paragliding & speedflying) accidents are very unforgiving, & proper training through an instructor is a valuable lesson in the long run. You wouldnt teach yourself to drive orskydive. Paragliding & speedflying is no different. (Hope the knee good better ok). 🙂
Justin’s speedsailing footage was just… terrifying. It seems to imply that speedsailers – much like base jumpers – don’t have very long lifespans 🙁
It might just be coz i’m a noob and don’t really understand what a wing can do yet, i could see myself swinging straight into one of those cliff-faces at 100mph+ so easily, splat im ded.
wow dude I was just wondering about you and why I hadn’t seen any vids, I almost forgot your channel name, I had to google “LED on quadcopter” to find you…. I just turned on notifications, but you should tell your subscribers to turn on notifications or else we will miss your videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy. Ly. Fuck. That speedflying looks like the most fucking dangerous and most fun shit I’ve ever seen…. Ah to be young again (I’m 31, way too wise to be doing shit like this!). Even paragliding is too wild for me, alas.
BTW dude, it seems to me like it’s an obvious mash for you to take your knowledge of RC parts and apply it to paragliding.. ie, take like a 20 inch wooden prop, strap it to a massive outrunner with a big esc and battery, and use that to take off when you’ve got limited wind.. kinda like a gas powered paraglider. I think lipos and electric motors could work better than gas. Much lighter, less runtime maybe, but you only need it to climb. Watching speedflying crashes, it seems to be they mostly crash when they suddenly run out of lift… a nice big brushless motor with a decent prop on their back could save them in those instances……. just a thought. Or even an EDF.
it’s not just buying a glider off the net, facing into the wind and running off a mountain. It’s a beautiful, amazing sport but it’s dangerous and you need to learn how to fly safely and what the rules are to keep yourself and OTHERS safe!!!
Beautiful videography, a well paced and assembled piece, great narration and a thoroughly informative and enjoyable production. IMPRESSIVE! Thanks for sharing.
That was an awesome comparison! I have been PPG’ing for about 5 years and have never tried PG, although, I am going to one day soon. I just don’t live in an area where there is much natural lift, so the fan just gets me in the air and from there I soar! As you said, there is nothing quite like it and who doesn’t want to fly!
I’m currently making my paraglider license in Germany. Here everything is regulated by law so just buying gear on ebay and trying it out sounds really risky to me 🙂 IMHO even if you don’t need a license for paragliding in your country, I strongly recommend to attend a course as there are some hidden risks which you don’t want to learn “the hard way” as you probably won’t survive it. Also knowing the rules makes flying also a lot safer for the other pilots around you. Be safe and always happy landings!
Great interviews, really got the heart of the matter.
I was interested in hang gliding a few years ago. I knew it would be very scary but I also wanted to try and quantify the danger. So I did some research and came up with a number of 1 in 1000 deaths per year if you do it a couple of times a month.
The real number might be wildly different but I thought I’d put that out there anyway.
Great video. All your videos are very informative and this Documentary is in my opinion pro level production. I took to paragliding the same way. Used gear and self taught. I stopped mountain biking , surfing and all RC for about 3 years because all I wanted to do is fly. Ridge lift is all I get over here on the Monterey Peninsula of California. Still amazing flying along the coast sometimes for hours. Like you the risk versus reward has got me thinking. Now I’m back to surfing, biking, RC, working and normal stuff. I still have my wings and all my gear. I just can’t bear to sell as I some day may fly again.
Great video.
We are all grown-ups. I am para instructor for 25 years. As for today most guys learn from YTube. Its not good but it is as it is. We all take responsibility for what we are doing
Great job bud, this video is truly inspirational. You are alive due to your Ambition Todo so. luck is a word used by the ignorant. your ability to problem solve and measure Risk is your luck. Follow your dreams and never listen to the “nah-Sayers”. Your life. your dreams. YOUR VIDEO ROCKS BUD!!!
lol Daniel is obviously COMPETENT enough to fly without training. training is recommended because most people are not competent enough to do it without. some people are better than others at things.
About 4 minutes of this video are about “Paragliding vs Speedflying” and it’s hugely irresponsible to go encouraging people to get into paragliding by buying second-hand gear off eBay and teaching themselves via YouTube. It does not matter what he said in some other video. In THIS video he SAYS “I bought a used wing off of Ebay, watched a few videos on Youtube and went to the hill to try my luck”.
What a moronic thing to say in a youtube video. Are you TRYING to FORCE the FAA to REQUIRE licencing?
You understand that here in Canada and in most of the rest of the world training and a licence, insurance, medical etc. IS required (at a cost of several hundred a year) and at any time FAA can start requiring the same if they decide that the sport is not policing itself properly?
AHHHH!! Did not realize how easy it is, just buy some old knackered kit off ebay and then watch some youtube vids and then proceed to throw yourself off the nearest cliff and BINGO, you will have made it!!
Hey, are you guys from Provo? Where are you getting your training done? I’m interested in getting into paragliding and I’m trying to find places/people around here that can help me get into it
Anyone who puts a GoSmoe on their helmet risks line entanglement, injury and death. Only Kooks fly with these. Likewise Kooks with a selfie stick cams. I’ve been PGing for over 25 years with over 2000 flying hours. I see stupid and the short careers that stupid has produced. This is stupid.
Just another bad advert for this sport, with a bunch of “cool” dudes, egos the size of mountains they are flying off, managing to cheat their way out of another Darwin Award. No thanks.
As much as I admire the natural optimism in American people, this is silly. You don’t buy a wing off the internet and take a stab at flying. This is not surfing, this is not snowboarding. There is very little trial and error when you fly.
Who would go skydiving by themselves without trying? This is the same. That’s how you end up with arseholes like this fuckwit who jumped out of his harness even though his glider was flying straight after a twist http://abcnews.go.com/News/paraglider-fell-150-feet-miracle-survived/story?id=41056676
Maybe he taught himself kiteboarding and thought he was a skygod but that was the most idiotic thing to do, jumping out of his harness “to save his life”
Don’t be this guy, seriously…
I learned to fly a Cessa 150 when before graduating from HIgh School. It was very nice having landing gear, and solid wings to look out at. Stall speed I think was 39mph with a max speed of 100. The difference between stall and maximum speed with kite is about 2mph… not enough safe margin. Plus I flew lower than some of the kite guys.
My learning experience was very similar. Naive I was, and lucky I am to be alive. I’ve flown several of the same places from your video. I’ve dropped in on a speed wing once, but I think I’ll stick to the long scenic flights for now. It really is something unique to be floating in the sky so very high without a cockpit to obstruct your view. As for progressing in the sport, I find myself setting goals to improve my knowledge and my skills while reducing the risk as much as possible as I go along. Stay safe. One poorly timed spiral that close to the mt. on a speed wing could land you with permanent debilitating injuries or death.
Nice torn up knee… So maybe some training might have been a good idea? 🙂 I’m a fan of your channel, it would be a shame to not get any more FPV or Solar plane videos because you cracked your noodle. Fly, but be safe.
Paragliding is full of risks, you should spend some money for an professional training. It is a matter of time how long you stay alive with your obviously bad start, flying and landing technique.
Haha, you can still kill yourself while paragliding after taking the right courses and having many hours of flying, however, if you are in a hurry, skip the courses! Safe flying!
I would personally wear a Hemet, knee pads, elbow pads, gloves, and a leather jacket. Helps soften rough landings. Biker jackets are great. The metal zippers and thick leather are designed to protect bikers from road rash. Works good If you tumble on a rough landing with these.
Beautiful video and yes, everyone should try paragliding but NEVER WITHOUT professional supervision. Doing it on your own can cost much more than the price of a second hand kit on eBay, it can cost your life.
cool but you really need training. im now 15 on an advance alpha 6. i did full cp training but without training it can be very dangerous for you and other people
Sweet. I love to see others explore more of aviation. Never get caught up in labels with the hang gliders vs, paragliders or any other sub part of aviation. It’s all fun. I started with RC, went to hang gliders, airplanes, tail draggers, aerobatics, sky diving, cross country speed airplanes, bush flying, powered parachutes, trikes, FPV and now I’m looking at gliders and para gliders while never completely letting go of any of the rest. Getting caught up in labels only slows you down.
Nice, first viewer 🙂

It says it’s not available…
Can you fix it?
Your videos are always great! I’m really looking forward to seeing it.
Beautiful video!
WOOOOOOOH

Man, this amazing. Great work. High quality stuff right here.
YOURE SICK! nice video!

Work of art Daniel. You’re getting so good at this.
(still miss seeing you making crappy depron planes and dicking about with them though)
Well done, nice contrast between the two styles, and as usual edit timing and pace are spot on!
Stick with Paragliding.
when is the solar glider coming back
now i want to Paraglide. Thank you xD
thank you for the concise and easy going info on an amazing sport.
Vid works for me. UK
@rctestflight I want to start paragliding, should I start with a used wing off ebay or should I just get a new one?
Really great stuff! I have done some paragliding stuff on the ground learning to control the wing. This really makes me want to get in the air and try it out! Great video!
that very awesome if i still lived in Colorado I’ll will 100% will try that but however i live in Florida

Another film that inspires me to the next level. Thanks for putting out videos like this Daniel, I really do appreciate it
I’m so glad I subscribed. I need to move to an area with mountains and get a paragliding set. That looks so cool.
You are going to be a big one in the film industry. Epic movie!
Wow
I want to do this!!!
Nice!!!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
that’s was cool. whoever down voted is dumb.
Awesome work dude! How’s the electric paramotor project?
That ending 0__o Perfect video!
Beautiful!!
Oh no!!! dose that mean no more RC videos 🙁 Any ways love the video its cool you are the one in the air for a change thanks for sharing
Hope you get an A+++
Great vid!
What an awesome new way to experience the mountains of Utah. I’ve wanted to get into this hobby for so long. Thanks for the info!
Daniel, you’re getting better at video documentaries. This was an instructive rush.
You really got me interested in this sport.
I already fly glider planes but thats a whole other experience, I have to try paragliding!
Will you be trying a paramotor ?
Well, that’s a pretty good movie
holy shit that rock crash looked painful. Very good music choices though, pretty much the same music i listen to
4:09 that knee…
Speed flying seems like a mini quad whereas paragliding seems like a plane
Great vid Dan, Wanna see more depron planes.
man, i need such an wing!
but fuck it, too expensive
more paragliding plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Awefrigginsome………
Really good video- but seriously quit putting more hobby ideas in my head dude.
greate video!!!
you bought a used wing from the internet and just try to fly? you didnt take a curse or something??
That looks SOO cool. It looks pretty dangerous. Are there parachutes in the paragliders?
that sums it up beautifully.. been Paragliding for 26 years.. .. will never give up
Really well edited, interesting and fun video, Daniel! This kind of video is my favorite type of video and it really show how great you are at making videos. I want to start paragliding my self and this definitely made me want to even more.

One of the best videos I’ve seen on YouTube, thank you. Also, excellent choices for the music.
Very interesting . enjoyed it.
Man I subbed to you all the way back in the cargo condor days! You’ve come a long way, production wise, and flight wise, that’s for sharing.
That s art!
You re so good.
awesome use of tame impala!!!!
These videos are really polished nowadays, the education is really paying off! I always enjoy your content, RC related or not
1. Donate sperm.
2. Speedfly!!1
ever been to wright brothers first flight in north carolina?
Interesting and well made video, but what was with dive bombing those people at 6:51 and a bit later too? That looked pretty dangerous, if they weren’t in on the action then that isn’t cool at all.
You can buy a wing and start flying just like that? Living in the USA must be great sometimes.
Anyway, nice video 🙂
Two words: Density Altitude. Beware.
Am I the only one where if I switch out of the app and come back the description, title, and like buttons disappear?
Amazing! I’d love to try this some day!
Next stop freefall, a thrill a second at 200KPH, all the benefits of speed flying followed by a lazy drift down on a wing. I wonder if it is possible to pack wing like a parachute and exit an aircraft to start at altitude? Was the knee a landing event or a takeoff event?

Have a great weekend and keep on flying!
Sweet 🙂
sadly i can’t do that because im in florida where it is completely flat
Sparki says “that was awesome, I hope you are going to do it again”
Phoebe say she Wants to fly too when she grows up..
Nicely done man, amazing scenery!
Very nice.

I almost pissed myself watching this. It’s so god damn cool but for an outsider it’s terrifying.
Production quality is really up there Daniel, great work.
Big hits dude that was mental!
fascinating! dare I ask, how does it compare to a good bit of fpv?
Incredible.. I have to try this! Thanks for the awesome video!
Wow! Amazing video, I mean like Netflix Documentary level production lol.
How much did the paraglider cost?

Wow, this is some next level shit… Awesomely made… You could become a director with this kinda of material and Knowledge! Great Work Daniel
This makes me want to go paragliding that much more! too bad we don’t really have more than hills here in virginia. I suppose I could do powered paramotoring.
You fly safe when you are under the paragliding… and you can fly mad in FPV with a 500 $ wing…
That’s great! Though I was always under the impression that you’d need to get a certification to paraglide… is this not true?
Song names? like the one at 09:00
Have you gone skydiving yet? Its a rush!
Incredible work Daniel, love the way you tell stories. Congrats again
The stoke is like, so high dude.
Well done! having knowledge in flight prob helped you a ton before your first flight I would guess. looks like a blast
This video was sweet. It’d be cool to see paragliding vids in addition to rc stuff
Amazing, Daniel. Thanks.
need money, need time and most important need hill, though I m dying to but i can’t…
video not available for me.
Wow, that was awesome! Justin is a lunatic!!! I would love to try paragliding but I definitely don’t think I’d ever have the balls to try speedgliding
Incredible. You just watched a few YT vids and went and did it yourself ? That’s me all inspired…
This video isn’t available in Germany.
Did you get an A?
Nice job! Free flight for life!
Nice Video!!! mega quality!!!!
just to make sure: you had other tuition than only online tutorials?
Different wings for different things. Nice video man. Gotta love all the options out there for the kind of flying you want to do now days. Flying isn’t for everyone but you sure wish everyone could feel the euphoria it gives you.
I’d love to try paragliding but I live in Virginia in the Part ware is totally flat and I’m only 11 so I can’t exactly find one that will work Siri so yeah

I’ve been parasailing but paragliding gives you total freedom. Great vid Daniel.
That knee at 1:34 would really make you think hard about the safety of the sport. I sympathize…
Love the brother Ali beat
POM ?
Wow, bought a used wing. How did you know it was flight worthy?? What about your reserve parachute? watched some videos….really. What about weather, did they do over that with you…..very foolish….

I used to skydive up until a couple of years ago but it requires a lot of time, money and waiting for decent weather. Paragliding seems a lot more accesible and something I’d like to maybe try sometime.
Yet another great video. Well done!
This video has a high level of stoke.
What ever happened to all of the scratch builds… awesome video by the way.
Incredible video, this looks like so much fun!
Really, no lessons or anything? you just grabbed one and tried it out? crazy. Awesome for you. I’m a wimp and still doing lessons (for hang gliding)
Blue skies
dude nice project it was fantastic professional! i think you should do a lot more 🙂
Great video, with some awesome visuals & great flying. 🙂
Wait a second? You don’t need a license in the US to paraglide?!?! :-O
What area is this in?
Stay alive young man. I like your words at the ending. People love you very much. You don’t need to be doing an early exit for some thrills.
Learning how to Para glide from watching videos on you tube would be the same thing as taking lessons from Captain Kurt Fister, only safer. lol
What is the sountracks playing it?
How much does your paraglider weigh? I’m curious about hiking up places and I’m sure that stuff is pretty heavy..
Damn that was good ! Excellent video !
it’s not just buying a glider off the net, facing into the wind and running off a mountain. It’s a beautiful, amazing sport but it’s dangerous and you need to learn how to fly safely and what the rules are to keep yourself and OTHERS safe!!!
Used stuff and YouTube videos,,, sounds like every venture I’ve started?
I took up paramotors this last year and it’s been awesome! Don’t have to wait for the right lift and you can fly where you want to.
thank you also have a paraglider now I finally properly joy
Beautiful videography, a well paced and assembled piece, great narration and a thoroughly informative and enjoyable production. IMPRESSIVE! Thanks for sharing.
Nice! and what about a paramotor ?
Dude tame Impala is such a great music choice for this video
the rock landing ? been there before
Great video, as usual, Daniel :). Keep up the good work man. And safe flying!
How much do wings go for?
This is beautiful. I’m going to try it.
Have you thought about building a electric paramotor? I would think you are the guy to do it.
Can you tell me where you filmed at least a few of these? I see that its the US, but could you be more specific?
Where is it? Thank’s.
Wooow. Awesome video dude 😀 .
This entirely convinced me to start paragliding.
420blazeit :DD
Thumbs up because you added tame impala!
where is this all filmed? looks like a beautiful place. I would love to try paragliding around there.
I’m too pussy mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get some knee pads man!!!!!!!
songs?
damn .. i think i’m going to buy a paragider
Such a great man!
this man is not very bright, a spinal cord injury comes for you!
edit: speed dude, not main guy
excellent video, Daniel. Well produced. I hope you get an A.
I´m glad that you´ve survived your first flying attemps. It wasnt´t a paraglider for beginners was it? 😀
I dont understand why the speeflyer is taking this huge risk to fly his manouvers so close to the rocks. just insane.
You now need a license and two weeks worth of training.
Take a licence. do not just buy and try.
nice video!
Awesome video!! I gotta try this !
y not get a powered paraglider
looks like Utah point of the mountain
Amazing documentary ,good job dude!
Looks like Salt Lake City. I’ve seen some folks do this by the university, maybe it was you guys! haha
” watching a few tutorials on utube” what? wrong!
I immediately got a used $600 mini speedglider that said “experts only”
That guy has the same name as me. Not sure if it’s spelt the same though.
<3 one day ...
sick video man! love the odeza
Epic
Where did you buy the wing? I’ve done some digging on the web, but it’s a little sketchy buying something like this off of eBay.
If somebody could give me a couple pointers, or if you live in western Colorado with extra gear, that’d be great too.
fun to watch!
…Isn’t PARAMOTORING better and more cost-effective? ….Google it….
Beautifully shot and edited! Stay safe out there man, I enjoy your videos every much.
So with speed gliding, you are 100% guaranteed to crash each and every time?
Made at Point of the Mountain. Say hello to John!
Ayy Tame Impala
This would be gold if there wasn’t such rapid film cutting. It’s nice to watch them ride for longer periods.
How long does it take to be enough good at paragliding to do it alone anywhere ?
just bought a used wing off eBay and a ticket to Utah – thanks.
lol Daniel is obviously COMPETENT enough to fly without training. training is recommended because most people are not competent enough to do it without. some people are better than others at things.
When u Live in Florida
Your knee looks like mine used to, except I built wings out of cardboard and was pushed off the roof.
Try flying at a club launch without training…
AHHHH!! Did not realize how easy it is, just buy some old knackered kit off ebay and then watch some youtube vids and then proceed to throw yourself off the nearest cliff and BINGO, you will have made it!!
Video is not available
Wolfmother = like guarantee
Speedflyers are fuckin crazy
The speedflying guy speaks like he has a very low IQ. I think that what he’s doing could be made much safer if he wasn’t the pilot.
Hi I am Lawson’s friend
eyyooo nice vid and nice music choice. Saw wolfmother last year!
Watched a few youtube tutorials? Dude…. Come on… Dont you have to have a legit license where you live?
Just another bad advert for this sport, with a bunch of “cool” dudes, egos the size of mountains they are flying off, managing to cheat their way out of another Darwin Award. No thanks.
Can’t see your vid.
I am thinking of getting into paramotors, but that speed gliding , you guys can have it!!
Might have said this in the video but where do you live to have such awesome places to paraglide? If you’re willing to share, of course
Plus I flew lower than some of the kite guys.
only if paramotors weren’t so noisy
it would have been the best way to enjoy simple and personal flying
I don’t comment much, but this is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen.
magic moment
Great video. Never done either but i think i prefer the Paragliding to the speed flying.. That slower pace is more for me 🙂
Powered is the way to go and 100 % much more safer
Nice torn up knee… So maybe some training might have been a good idea? 🙂 I’m a fan of your channel, it would be a shame to not get any more FPV or Solar plane videos because you cracked your noodle. Fly, but be safe.
Good video. Thanks.
no one ever posts quality paragliding videos, this is by far my favourite one , please post more
Speedflyer are suicide gopro-equipped people IMHO
That was me landing at 7:15.
Such a cool video! 🙂
FYI My speed wing was definitely tested before I started flying it 100kph down a mountain.
Paragliding is full of risks, you should spend some money for an professional training. It is a matter of time how long you stay alive with your obviously bad start, flying and landing technique.
Love the videos man. Keep em comin!
so is the speedflying dude dead yet?
NO lessons? Love your channel- High quality content- You’re a really brilliant guy!
Been watching for years. Well done!
DO NOT TEACH YOURSELF into paragliding, get an instructor, don’t shit over a very hard earn safety level in this sport.
Nice video and what’s the second song in the video
Haha, you can still kill yourself while paragliding after taking the right courses and having many hours of flying, however, if you are in a hurry, skip the courses! Safe flying!
I would personally wear a Hemet, knee pads, elbow pads, gloves, and a leather jacket. Helps soften rough landings. Biker jackets are great. The metal zippers and thick leather are designed to protect bikers from road rash. Works good If you tumble on a rough landing with these.
I want one lol
Beautiful video and yes, everyone should try paragliding but NEVER WITHOUT professional supervision. Doing it on your own can cost much more than the price of a second hand kit on eBay, it can cost your life.
cool but you really need training. im now 15 on an advance alpha 6. i did full cp training but without training it can be very dangerous for you and other people
Starting my HPAC P-2 course next weekend this video gets me stoked! 🙂
video is ok, but which idiot “teaches” himself paragliding?????
Only 93k views of the best YouTube video ever??
you have to strap a motor to your back much safer. go to tuckergot he hit 15000 feet . bad ass view.. check it out
Could I use a paraglider as a practical way of getting around town?
I needed this….thank you
boi that is salt lake city utah.. i live there
with speedflying you get closer to parachuting…sort of
Uh…? Wouldn’t you get less fucked up when you smacked into the ground if you had pads on? Or hell even pants..
