World record holder & Motivational Keynote Speaker Marc Hauser: http://www.erfolgswelle.ch/redner/redner-referent-speaker/keynote-speaker-website-in-english/ press release Empuriabrava, Spain: 5/10/2012 speed record in skydiving The Swiss Marc Hauser posted a record in horizontal free fall.
He accelerated his own body in the air to a forward speed of 304 km / h [188.9 mph] the Bernese skydiver Marc Hauser () jumped from at altitude of 4,000 m [13,120 feet] above sea level from 40A plan. He flew forward in body stretched on oblique descent by adopting a position and without additional gear. He reached a top speed of 304 km / h [188.9 mph] above the ground with his body alone in mid air. To date, he is the fastest man in forward flight without additional gear. This record sets a first milestone in the still fledgling sport of speed tracking.
Speed tracking speed tracking is a new skydiving discipline, somewhat reminiscent of Superman’s flying skills. The aim is achieving the greatest possible forward speed in free fall relative to the ground. The skydiver’s motto is “free flight instead of free fall”. The normal vertical speed of a skydiver is about 180 km/h [112 mph]. Speed tracking, however, skydivers accelerate their horizontal flight.
Speed measurement is performed via GPS and subsequently ground data analysis. Before landing, forward flight is slowed down and the parachute stuff at a regular skydiving altitudes, i.e. about 800m [2.625 feet].
Marc Hauser is the initiator of this high speed flight variation, which he himself has named “tracking speed”.
March Hauser’s record statement “the feeling of flying with high-speed of tracking comes very close to the original flying Désiré: flying with your own body, without additional help.” Entire town can be overflown at incredible speed; free case becomes almost free flight for several kilometres and longer distances. At these high speeds, the idea of turning suffices to fly this at the end of the speed track; a stunningly impressive experience”!

Only with the help of his own body, he quickened up to a forward speed of 304 km/h Ampuriabrava, Spain: 5.10 2012 the Bernese Marc Hauser (40) jumped from a height of 4000 m above sea out of the plane. In stretched position he flew into the sloping descent forward, without tools. There, he reached a top speed of 304 km/h above the ground. He is currently fastest man in forward flight without additional drive. This record sets a first mark in the fledgling sport of speed tracking.
Speed tracking “Tracking Speed” is the new discipline in skydiving, which is reminiscent of Superman’s flying skills. Target is to reach a large forward speed over the ground in free fall. “Free flight instead of freefall” is the motto of the jumpers. The normal vertical speed of a skydiver is about 180 km / h. The speed of tracking a jumper, however, accelerated his horizontal flight. The preliminary peak is 304 km/h today.
The speed is measured with GPS and subsequent analysis of the data on the ground. Before landing the forward flight is slow and the screen opening occurs at normal cruising altitude like the parachute jumping, on 800 m height.
Marc Hauser is the initiator of this rapid flight variation, which he has named.
Statement by Marc Hauser on the record “the feeling in the speed of tracking the original flight request very comes close: flying with your own body, without additional help.” Whole towns can be overflown at an incredible pace, the free fall is nearly free flight over several kilometres long distances. At these high speeds, it doesn’t need to do any active changes in the flight situation to a change of direction; the thought of a curve to suffice at the end of the tempo track to fly – a stunningly impressive experience!”

I know how to track at and all, but damn. :).
