High Altitude Paragliding

In La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, David Geiser and Jeremy Peclard push the limits to achieve the world’s highest double paraglide jump from a hot air balloon. After requesting an aerial traffic control authorization, the team reached a max altitude of 6050 meters (nearly 20,000 feet). Due to the extreme heights, the paragliders and balloon pilots were supplied with oxygen from the hot air balloon before the drop.

  for landings and when they get low. Stuff happens. Search for paraglider accidents, and you will find a few examples of landings and crashes where helmets did or would help.

  If they ‘fall’ the reserve parachute would hopefully save them. The helmets are worn to mount the gopro and for protection if something goes wrong with the start or landing.

that’s amazing, more than the others flying videos, the 360 with para is really scary but awesome, and on the video you feel the exiting emotions of these guys. thumbs up always for that videos!

  Well, I guess, the balloon goes slowly down just as they are ! So the balloon goes down straight and the paraglider are whirling around it, so technically, they’re above the balloon at one point or another 🙂
