@wesselingskater wrong question! correct: how much time and talent should I have if I want to start speedflying!? And yes, pretty much everywhere you need a licence or proof of insurance (which you only get with a proof of capability)

Hi lad, I was wondering how much wind is needed to fly with a speedfly wing (e.q. yours for instance). Because I am currently doing a course in paragliding and when i finish it I wish to buy a speedflyer etc. … But is it only recommended to fly in “stronger” winds or can you fly it in mild “weather” as well.
and by the way, love the video and flying, good job and keep up the good work 😉

Hey man this video is beautiful! This is an odd thing to ask, but, how would I get into Speed Flying? I want to go Skydiving one day, and I thought starting with something a little closer to the ground would be a great way to get started.

Best speed flying I have ever seen and I have seen ALOT
They are actually Schefflera plants, you can tell because the leaf margins are smooth and they have rounded edges. They do look very much like Cannabis leaves though : )

No it is not cannabis
Speedflying is way more dangerous than skydiving. I cant see any benefits from speedflying that applies to skydive. The closer to the ground the more dangerous it is, always.
If you want to go the safe way get a paraglider license, once comfortable start out on a bigger speedwing.
mild headwind = easiest launches, now i mean mild wind…
Strong winds/strong gusts =
Needs alot of ground-training and experience there are many examples where people get hurt or even die trying to launch during heavy winds.

Nil wind = Also requires extra care & experience but mainly the launch will be your only problem since you need that extra push to make it…
