Enjoying March thermals at Drevlandsaksla mountain in Northern Norway. All well until, in a critical moment, I forget to monitor wind speed. A stupid mistake resulting in a forced “toplanding” on the leeside.

Punishment – caught on foot in winds increasing to approx. 30 m/s. My clothing is sufficient. I manage to stay warm, but a 6 1/2 hrs exhausting hike/climb in avalanche terrain is needed to get back to safety.
