A guy died doing this the summer before last. The wind changed and him and his parachute got stuck on the cliff. It was too far down and too steep and dangerous for people to get to him. Eventually after about an hour he slipped and fell on the rocks. Really sad. 🙁 But I guess those people know the dangers of this sport. It’s so beautiful at the Nauagio. Especially from the bottom.

Another example of a good video being ruined by bad music and horredous editing. It gives one some insight, I think, into what’s going on in the minds of the jumpers, who see their sport as a relentless adrenaline rush. It makes me wonder if any of them do it for the beauty and grace of the jump. In short, I hope they’re not all plugged in to heavy metal while they’re flying just feet off downward slopes of their descents. That would be sad.
I’d love to see a video of someone doing their first wingsuit jump, and some of the training leading up tp it.

What’s the lowest you can get before you have to open the chute? There’s a guy at 1:50 on the left who looks like he’s 30 ft. from the bottom. I guess the wide angle lens just makes it look like that, but how high is this cliff?
