Zip line adventure at Las Cabanas Beach

El Nido is all about good times and tane lines. Out there, life is like a never ending beach story. The might not be all as fairylike as the onces you head to while island hopping but most on them are still worth a visit. Marimegmeg Beach, better know as Las Cabanas, is just hidden some 3km from El Nido town and can’t be missed out on your beach life. It is a good place to relax in the golden sand that glistens in the sun while admiring the silhouettes of the rock formations and islands nearby that are towering over the waters.

First of all, this is a very good place to relax, sun-bath and swim. Contrarily to the beach in El Nido, the waters are clean and it poses no threat to swim there. Just note that, some parts of the year, there are a certain type of plancton (harmless) that can provoke a stinging sensation.

Observe the wonders when you and your friends make this adventure in El Nido from island to island by the hidden beaches and the sanctuary with amazing rock formations, dreamy beaches, and charming lagoons that can only be found in Bacuit Bay. Buffet lunch, diving equipment and transfers to the hotel are included.

Las Cabanas Beach holds its name from Las Cabanas Resort, one of the oldest resort in El Nido. Very easy to access, it’s located just a few minutes away from El Nido town and very popular among tourists. You can get to Las Cabanas beach by a 10 to 15 minutes travel in tricycle. If you want to go for a hike just head out of El Nido town and follow the coastline. The beach is easy to find. If you see a bunch of tricycle parked you know that you have arrived.

On the beach, you’ll find several resto-bars where you can order a drink or some food. One of them even offers deckchairs for its customers. At the end of the beach, you’ll find Las Cabanas Resort and its bar and restaurant. Las Cabanas Beach is also highly appreciated for its sunsets. The beach is facing west and you’ll get to witness very nice sunsets there!

There is also a zip-line between the coast and the nearby island. You can access it via a footpath behind the beach. If you are still not done with island hopping after the tours in El Nido you came out to the right place. From here you can hop to Depeldet Island by a 750-meter zip line. It is just short drive on some adventures paths towards to this unique zip-line. To get there you can take a tricycle from Las Cabanas beach or straight from El Nido town.

You will headed up a steep rickety bamboo staircase in the Philippines jungle to zipline over Las Cabanas Beach. The zipline at Las Cabanas Beach in El Nido is not your regular tourist attraction – this is island hopping by zipline. The zipline platform at the top of a bamboo structure that looked like it would never pass any safety standards with a hectic drop and a 750-meter zipline across the ocean to Depeldet Island.

While the set-up may look super relaxed, these guys test out your harness on the platform to make sure it’s secure, and follow all proper safety requirements like giving you a helmet and making sure you’re wearing secure footwear. This zipline is hands down the most picturesque I’ve ever seen. An experience island-to-island ziplining where you can fly superman-style across a spectacular coconut palm-fringed beach.

Las Cabanas Beach is famous for its spectacular sunsets, so time your zipline adventure to take in the incredible sunset as you zip through the sky. The zipline is open until 5:30pm, so aim to get there just before it closes and then debrief over dinner and drinks on the sand below.
