The Largest Zip line in the world, Winner of the Guinness Record


With an extension of 1,800 meters, “Xtasea”, the largest zip line on water in the world so far, is located in the port of Acapulco, 700 meters above the water, at a 100 meters of height above the sea and reaches a speed of 120 Kilometers per hour in a descent, has been the most ambitious project of recent years for this city.

The project was in charge of the Grupo Autofin and Mundo Imperial, in which were invested more than 40 million pesos, and it implanted the Guinness record of the largest zip line in the world that crosses the sea. Its construction began in September 2016 and was inaugurated on March 29, 2017, during the Tourism Tianguis 2017 and is open to the general public since April of that year, until then, the largest zip line in the world measured 800 meters and is located at Haiti.

During the inauguration of the works for the construction of the zip line, the governor of Guerrero, Hector Astudillo Flores said that this attraction is going to be formidable because it touches two points: the part of the scenic and what is Cabo Marqués. “It’s going to be a round trip and with great enthusiasm, there are things that are being done in Acapulco, things that are going to start, and things that are going to consolidate,” he added.
