XXII edition of the Las Candelas Paramotors Concentration


The most ingrained party of the Sierra Morena Sevillana in La Puebla de los Infantes in Andalusia, was held during the first weekend of February, which hosted this year the XXII edition of the Paramotores Concentration in Las Candelas, declared a Immaterial Heritage of Andalusia, a singular event famous for the huge bonfires that are lit in different streets of the town at nightfall that illuminate the town and give name to the Las Candelas festival.

The Paramotores Concentration of Las Candelas annually opens the season of the modality and usually brings together both specialist and amateur athletes and tourists. This year they counted again with the III Handicraft and Gastronomic Fair of typical products of La Puebla de los Infantes, where the artisans of the municipality exhibited their products, throughout the weekend. The older women were responsible for preparing the “sopaipas” a dough of flour and water, cut into thin slices and fried in olive oil, accompanied with a little hot chocolate, which helps to cope with the cold winter night.
